- Upgrade to Vert.x 4
This new version embodies a major change, albeit hardly perceptible to users: the switch from the Vert.x 3 application server to Vert.x 4.
Vert.x is the application server that runs the main VLE applications. It acts as the backbone of the system, enabling communication between the various applications and processing HTTP requests.
The upgrade to Vert.x 4 is a crucial step in the technical evolution of our platform. Vert.x 3, having reached the end of its life cycle, can no longer guarantee optimal security support. So, to guarantee the security and longevity of VLE, it was necessary to carry out this update.
VLE functionalities remain unchanged, but this upgrade ensures better performance, greater security and scalability for the future. The upgrade to Vert.x 4 also enables us to prepare for future developments of our solutions, by facilitating future developments and simplifying maintenance of our digital environments.
- New version of the Magneto application
The Magneto application has been given a facelift, both aesthetically and technically! Right from the home page, version 2.0 boasts a design in line with that of the rest of VLE: action menu, folder and table display, header, etc.
In addition, the user experience has been completely overhauled, with advances such as “drag & drop” of magnets, improved zoom, comment display and the ability to lock a magnet.
- New version of Mediacentre
The new version of Mediacentre is now available on all our platforms. The application has undergone a complete overhaul for improved ergonomics and ease of use, and has been migrated to the React framework. Among the many improvements :
- Users attached to several schools can filter resources by school;
- Resources can be pinned to highlight them;
- In the bookmarks, a filter on the “Orientation” theme has been created.
🐜[BUG FIXES]
- Assistance: the texts in the “My account” section have been updated.
- Courses and Wiki: it is now possible to save a page before completing its content, by entering only a title.
