Easily Distribute and Collect Assignments and Documents
Rack has become a comprehensive tool for distributing and collecting documents. Homework assignments, parental consent forms, administrative documents, forms to complete… Everything can now be distributed, tracked, followed up, collected, and validated within a single interface designed to save time for everyone.
The year 2026 had already brought major improvements to Rack. Following a complete redesign of its interface based on React, the application became more modern, smoother, and easier to use. This latest enhancement simplifies everyday workflows while giving students and families greater clarity and visibility.
From File Sharing to Complete Submission Management
Until now, Rack allowed users to send documents to one or more recipients’ racks and receive documents in their own. Every exchange was timestamped, ensuring accurate tracking.
Rack now takes the next step. Teachers and staff members can create collections, request submissions from recipients, and set deadlines. This is a significant improvement for anyone who regularly manages assignments or documents that require a response.
In just a few clicks, you can:
- Distribute an assignment to be submitted;
- Share instructions along with supporting attachments;
- Request the return of an administrative document;
- Collect signed permission slips or media consent forms;
- Receive responses as either uploaded documents or text submissions.
Each collection includes a description or set of instructions, one or more attachments, and—most importantly—a submission deadline.
From the Rack homepage, you can instantly monitor the progress of your collections thanks to a completion indicator. At a glance, you can see how many submissions have been received and how many are still outstanding. Each individual submission can be marked as verified, providing clear validation. This gives you a structured overview of all ongoing collections.

Designed with Teachers and Students in Mind
To make the experience as intuitive as possible, the interface has been completely redesigned.
A new section dedicated to Organized Submissions has been added to the navigation tree. It brings together all assignments and documents distributed by teachers or staff members for which a response is expected.
Recipients can quickly identify outstanding or overdue submissions thanks to a color-coded system and dedicated filters. To help ensure deadlines are met, they automatically receive notifications whenever a new collection is assigned to them or when the instructions are updated. They also receive a reminder 24 hours before the submission deadline. Forgetful students now have one less excuse.

The Ideal Tool for Assignment Submission
This new functionality has been designed specifically to meet the needs of teachers who distribute written assignments or any work requiring students to upload files.
Until now, assignment submissions were primarily managed through the Exercises application. Over the coming months, users will gradually be encouraged to use Rack as the preferred solution for distributing and collecting assignments and documents.
Of course, any content that has already been created in Exercises will remain fully accessible
