Édifice’s Digital Learning Platforms: Back-to-School by the Numbers

, Updated on 17 October 2024

Édifice hit the ground running for the 2024-2025 school year! We’ve seen millions of logins, lightning-fast customer support, a flurry of training sessions, and exciting tech and eco-friendly upgrades. Let’s dive into the stats behind your digital learning platforms this fall.

The first month and a half of the new school year has been a whirlwind for both our users and our team! When 4 million students and 400,000 teachers log into our platforms, we’re right there with them in the (virtual) classroom.

Want proof? Check out these mind-boggling numbers from the 2024 back-to-school season. From day one through the start of fall break, we’ve clocked an impressive 150 million logins from our 11 million users. That’s spread across all our platforms, throughout France and in over 20 countries worldwide.

Customer Support Spotlight: Over 5,500 Help Requests

With so many visitors, we’ve got plenty of users to guide towards a smooth experience on our digital learning platforms. At Édifice, we go all out to ensure a stress-free back-to-school season with our internal “Zen Start” initiative. Every employee in the company takes turns reinforcing our customer support team to handle user assistance requests. Everyone? Yes, everyone—including our executives and new hires! It’s a great way to stay connected with our customers and keep a pulse on their needs.

Forgot your password? Having trouble logging in? Got a technical question? Our crack team is here for you! They’ve tackled over 5,500 help requests during the first stretch of the 2024-2025 school year, with ever-improving response times to provide you with the best possible support.

And that’s not all—in September alone, our training team led by Céline guided nearly 400 users through the ins and outs of our platforms!

Top 3 Teacher-Favorite Apps

Once they’re up to speed, teachers quickly settle into their favorite tools on our digital learning platforms! The Mailbox app remains the top choice for communication across all grade levels. In primary schools, it’s closely followed by the Blog app and the essential Schoolbook. For middle and high schools, the Filespace and Blog apps are neck-and-neck for second place among our users’ preferred communication tools.

When it comes to educational apps, the Multimedia Notebook takes the crown as the most popular on our platforms. We see this trend reflected in the Library as well, with multimedia resources being the most frequently shared by teachers at all levels. The Exercises app secures the second spot, while the Collaborative Wall, especially in its latest version, is winning hearts and rounding out the top three.

The Eco-Friendly Figure: 0.8 Tons of CO2e Saved Annually

Environmental protection is everyone’s business. At Édifice, we’re taking a hard look at our carbon footprint, and this introspection led us to compress photos stored on our platforms.

Now, when a user uploads a photo to one of our digital learning environments, it’s automatically compressed before being loaded and stored on the platform. This initiative has shrunk photo sizes by a factor of 25, preventing users’ Document Spaces from getting clogged while maintaining image quality and viewing comfort. The results of this upgrade are impressive: we’re saving 0.8 tons of CO2e per year, which translates to a 1.17% reduction!
